John Harriss is a Professor Emeritus at Simon Fraser University. He has been a visiting faculty at the London School of Economics, SOAS, Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS) at The University of Göttingen and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Some of his works include India Today: Economy, Politics and Society (with Stuart Corbridge and Craig Jeffery), published by Oxford University Press (OUP) in 2013 and Understanding India’s New Political Economy: A Great Transformation? (with Sanjay Ruparelia, Sanjay Reddy and Stuart Corbridge) published by Routledge in 2011.
