A Book Discussion on The Public and their Platforms: Public Sociology in an Era of Social Media With Mark Carrigan and Lambros Fatsis Lambros Fatsis is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology within the School of Humanities and Social Science (HASS) at the University of Brighton, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Mark Carrigan is a Lecturer in Education at the University of Manchester. He directs the Post-Pandemic University project which is an international network comprising an online magazine, podcast hub and conference series. Their recent book The Public & Their Platforms: Public Sociology in an Era of Social Media (Bristol University Press, 2021) explores the implications of digital platforms and emerging technologies for public scholarship.
