Dr. Anurekha Chari Wagh teaches at the Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad. She has previously taught at the University of Pune. She works in the fields of Sociology of development, labour, poverty alleviation, gender and development and women’s movement. She has published in the fields of poverty alleviation programmes, gender mainstreaming and the empowerment of women.
