A very interesting conversation on teaching Sociology in Assam, a region which is diverse and doesn’t find much mention in national Sociology curriculum. The Doing Sociology team spoke to three teachers cutting across a public, a private and an open university who share their different experiences of teaching Sociology in the region. Dr. Sanjay Barbora teaches in the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati (TISS). Dr. Gargi Gayan teaches in the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), Guwahati.
