In this conversation, we discussed the book Global Feminist Autoethnographies During COVID-19: Displacements and Disruptions edited by Melanie Heath, Akosua K. Darkwah, Josephine Beoku-Betts, and Bandana Purkayastha, published by Routledge in 2022. The discussants include two of the editors – Melanie Heath and Bandana Purkayastha, and one of the contributors – Maitrayee Chaudhuri. Bandana Purkayastha is a Professor of Sociology & Asian and Asian American Studies, and currently Associate Dean of Social Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Melanie Heath is Associate Dean of Graduate Students and Associate Professor of Sociology at McMaster University. Maitrayee Chaudhuri has retired as a Professor from the Centre for the Study of Social Systems (CSSS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She is one of the co-founders of Doing Sociology.
