Aparna Rayaprol is a Professor and Former Head of the Department of Sociology, University of Hyderabad. Her areas of interest include gender studies, Indian diaspora, qualitative research methods and urban Sociology. She is the author of Negotiating Identities: Women in the Indian Diaspora, New Delhi, Oxford University Press, 1997.
