Aarushi Bhandari is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Davidson College. Her book Attention and Alienation: The International Political Economy of Information and Communication Technologies (published by Columbia University Press in 2025) overviews the impacts of information and communication technologies on global society. Aarushi teaches courses on technology, globalization, wellbeing and popular culture. She has a National Science Foundation CAREER award for her project on mindfulness, technology and globalization. She is also working on her second book about technology, algorithms and reading culture in the United States.
